This exhibition is the first of its kind in China to focus on aging and an aging society through the lens of contemporary art. It employs a variety of artistic forms to illuminate the emotions, experiences, needs, and social contexts of older adults, both as individuals and within communities. By viewing aging as an inevitable life stage and a universal condition, it aims to authentically depict the beauties, prides, and challenges that the elderly face in different social and cultural settings. The exhibition seeks to dismantle age-related stereotypes and combat ageism, while championing the cultural visibility and rights of older adults.

Furthermore, it highlights the critical importance of care and caregiving in an aging society, and emphasizes the value of intergenerational communication, support, and connection. The exhibition offers a deeper reflection on the meanings of life and death, encouraging a reevaluation of personal values and family bonds. By advocating for diverse methods such as oral histories and family documentaries, it captures and shares the stories of the elderly, preserving family, generational, and cultural memories for future generations.
