Tattoo Parlour
Tattoo Parlour Experimental Art Space is located at the north end of Workers’ Stadium E. Road, next to CHAO Sunlitun Beijing. Formerly a tattoo shop and part of Sanlitun Bar Street, Tattoo Parlour is now an exhibition space for artists to experiment and showcase their artistic opportunitys.
Exhibition direction:
Tattoo Parlour takes the form of a window display, only allowing visitors and passers-by visual access through two large windows that look into the space. As such, Tattoo Parlour plays with the commercial environment that characterizes Sanlitun, challenging both artists who exhibit in the space, and visitors who see their work, to navigate the relationship between culture and its wider urban context.
纹身店实验艺术空间
空间位于北京市朝阳区工体东路红街最北端，比邻三里屯CHAO酒店。空间前身是酒吧街里的一家纹身店，如今，经过改造，以橱窗的形态为艺术家呈现自己的观念提供机会。
展览方向
空间以封闭橱窗的形式出现，观众和路人只能通过两扇窗户观看其中的内容，与三里屯的商业和人文环境形成某种镜像与挑战关系。本空间希望艺术家能从空间的形式及其环境关系获取创作动因，并与周围环境以及公众形成交流和相互刺激。
