Tattoo Parlour is delighted to announce the opening of Colin Siyuan Chinnery's solo exhibition Window Pain at 16:30, on the 23th of December, 2017 as the art space’s inaugural exhibition. The duration of this exhibition will be until the 8th of March, 2018.
In Window Pain Colin Siyuan Chinnery creates a dialogue between the two windows of Tattoo Parlour. Chinnery has turned each window into a speaker, allowing them to communicate with each other using sound. There seems to be a dance club inside the art space, as the windows are opaque and dance music and disco lights occasionally emanate from within. It is unclear who is speaking; people inside the building or the building itself. It is also not certain whether we should be listening to the conversation.
纹身店实验艺术空间很高兴地宣布秦思源个展将于2017年12月23日周六下午16:30开幕，这将是空间的首次展览。展览将展出秦思源新近创作的声音装置《窗-户》，展期自2017年12月23日至2018年3月8日。
纹身店实验艺术空间的两扇窗被秦思源创作的《窗-户》改为两个音箱，形成窗户之间的一段对话。空间本身好像变成了舞厅，因为从外部能偶尔感到里面跳舞音乐的律动和舞厅灯光的闪烁，窗户之间的对话是里面的人在说话还是建筑本身在说话，这一点并不清楚。同样不清楚的是，我们是否应该去旁听这样的私密交流呢？秦思源拥有多重身份，艺术评论人、艺术家、策展人、摇滚乐队主唱、网红……，在纹身店他以艺术家的身份示人，创作了这个橱窗作品，作品回应了空间的语境，运用声音、灯光语言实现了针对三里屯酒吧文化的语义转换。
